A Journey Back to the Beginning

Micah Fairchild had dedicated his whole life to the Colonial Village court system. He worked hard and made a nice living. Most guys his age would've taken the retirement route, but Micah toughed it out and was soon one of the town's most impressive judges.

In his later years, Micah settled down with Kyla, who was the oldest of the 8 Bugger children. She was a hip young web game designer and Micah could not resist her charms. After a few years they welcomed daughter Margot. Twins Mallorie and Mason soon followed. Kyla kept her sharp wits about her but was clearly okay with settling in the mom role. As a Bugger, a family whose moral valor was well known in the town, Kyla was a black sheep. She'd fallen in love as a teenager with Pecan Sandie, who was known as the village idiot. Scandal blazed like a wild fire through Colonial Village and she and Pecan were forbidden from seeing each other ever again. Kyla was happy to have met Micah - a man old enough and aloof enough to not be "in the know." He had no idea about his wife's secret past.

Micah helped with the babies and enjoyed providing for his happy family.

Some days he felt so tired.

Other days he was very much in an animated state of mind!

Despite Micah's energy, Kyla worried about him. When Kyla's sister Kendal Buggers needed a place to get on her feet, Kyla offered her a room. The kids were a lot to handle and Micah spent a lot of time resting.

Soon after Kendal moved in, Micah came home from work to find that his time had run out. The family was so distraught.

Kyla arrived home from work and was greeted by her son Mason, who told could only ask, "Mommy, will daddy come back?" She broke down into hysterics.

Kyla spent the next 5 months on the couch. She did nothing, she ate hardly anything, and she wanted nothing to do with anyone. She was totally enervated. Kendal moved out after a few weeks - unable to stomach her sister's greif.

One night, Kyla was outside kicking her mail box in anger when a face from her past walked by. It was Pecan Sandie. Kyla had not seen him since they were teenagers. The two began speaking and it was as if nothing had ever changed between them.

Pecan became a fixture in the household. Kyla was so thrilled to have her old best friend back in her life. She found herself smiling again. Pecan could always make her smile. Kyla could talk to him about anything! It was thrilling!

One day when Kyla was showing Pecan a dinosaur egg model in Mason's room, things between them took on a different kind of thrill. She was shocked...and exhilarated. She felt truly happy and she realized she didn't care what anyone had to say about her relationship with Pecan. She invited him to move in with her and her children.

He accepted. Things were great - the kids loved Pecan and like Kyla, saw nothing wrong with accepting him in their family. Pecan could relate to the children on a level most other adults could not.

One day Pecan's mother came over to let Pecan know how disappointed she was in him for leaving her. Pecan had a hard time collecting himself.

"This is all I'll say Pecan, that woman Kyla is a predator and she's a pervert. You are a special boy and you should be with mommy in the bakery all the time. Won't you come home with Mommy now?"

Pecan kicked his mother off his lawn but he struggled with disappointing her. His love for Kyla was enough to keep him strong though.

Pecan was digging in the trash one day when he got an idea - "People who love each other get married," he said to himself. "I will marry my Kyla."

Kyla agreed. Pecan Sandie married the widow Kyla Fairchild in a simple ceremony held in Kyla's living room. It was a happy event.

Pecan's favorite part was smashing cake in his new bride's face.

The only down point was a confrontation that occured between Pecan's mom and Kyla's father. "Your daughter is sick, Mr. Buggers, and I will take that perverted woman to court for molesting my Pecan!" Mrs. Sandie exclaimed. "You sorry old bitch," said Mr. Buggers, "that's the mother of my grandchildren you're talking about and her last husband still has enough connections in the Colonial Village courthouse to keep any lawsuits you might file out of our way."

It was tense.

Kyla saw her new mother-in-law leaving the house in a huff and wondered what had happened.

The days went on, the kids grew, and life was good.

One day Mrs. Sandie stopped by to drop off crayons for Pecan but he wasn't home. She asked Kyla to give them to him. Kyla was livid. "What are you thinking? Why would my husband want your stupid crayons?" she fumed.

Pecan's mother ran out of the house. She had never been spoken to in such a manner before!

Kyla was right behind her. "You get it straight, woman. Pecan is a man. MY man. You will respect him as my HUSBAND. He's not your CHILD anymore!" Mrs. Sandie was stunned. She left the house and did not return.

Kyla felt bad about coming between Pecan and his beloved mother, but soon there wasn't any time to be upset. She was expecting Pecan's baby. And she was worried about the health of their children.

Pecan was worried too, and he would often vent his feelings in his dream journal.

Soon, Kyla felt that old familiar feeling...

And the Sandies welcomed twins Praline and Almond into the family! They were healthy as could be and both Kyla and Pecan felt their love had surpassed all trials and tribulation.

They were back where they both had started: together and better than ever.

I agree SuSuKate! Wow, Sylvie Sandie has gone out of control having to deal with her little boy being "corrupted." I wish she could just be happy that he is happy. The Sandie family already has too much turmoil with the disapproval of Lark's marriage to Rhys Valdari, and Aleck's romantic escapades and deceptions. I wish she could find joy in the fact that Pecan's innocent and pure spirit has helped him find true love and independence in spite of the challenges he has faced.

mommy must want all of her kiddies to herself! behind every "perfect" sim lurks some dark secret, at least that's how it goes in colonial village.

maybe her bakery will burn down with her in it. one can never tell! what secrets must mrs. sandie's husband harbor???
